The Alchemist, Spinningfields, Manchester

The design for this multi award-winning refurbishment for the original Alchemist in Spinningfields Manchester was based around the search for the elixir of life. This resulted in dramatic sculptural elements throughout the space that transform throughout the day.

The focus is the theatrical large scale halo lit discs that represent the lunar progression and glow warm white at sunrise to rich red at sunset. We worked with skilled craftsman to create the bespoke lunar inspired lighting and joinery.
